Sasha Alexander speared these Yellowtails off Catalina and the Channel September 9, 2005 under a kelp patty where there were also a lot of Dorado. Unfortanetly his gun was empty so he was not able to bring home one. BOO HOO! But thanks for bringin' us a yellowtail over to eat!

Oh my gosh Lindsay too? O.K. it's the same fish, Sasha was nice enough to let us pose with one of his Yellowtails (this is the one he gave to us the other one was even bigger). We wanted to be cool too! We'll let you know how it was! Thanks Sasha!

Sasha took these beautiful pictures. We bet he spears a lot of fish here, the water is so clear out at the Islands! We had the priveledge of spending this last Labor Day weekend out there. It's almost like a tropical island, and we get to live here. So LUCKY!

Tom Fischer is a local waterman who spears, fishes, and scavanges for all sorts of creatures in and around the Channel Islands. Originally from Louisianna, this guy thinks everything is edible. Of course, we didn't complain when he brought home this this nice 12 lb. sea bass. Tom speared this fish at his "secret spot" (we know it was Yellow Banks).
